The plot was not as clever and witty as in the previous book.

Her friend Jenny Lopes is just obnoxious, thank God she decides to move to L.A. There's a lot of incoherent misunderstandings that cause Angie to almost lose Alex. He's almost absent in this book, it's all about Angela's trip to Hollywood, with Jenny Lopez, for an interview with some British actor who's on the spotlight for being super hot, a lady-killer, but turns out to be "in the closet". I think the problem here is the lack of presence of Angela's boyfriend, Alex.

The plot is quiet cheesy, "I heart NY" also had some cheesy segments but it was better. The story line dragged on for a while, otherwise I would have finished in a day. Second book syndrome? Yes, I'd say that since I'm 40 pages into the third book (I heart Paris) and seems more on the level of the first book (I heart NY). (#2 book read for contemporary-a-thon weekend)

"Angela Clark's adventures on the west coast aren't as fun as her previous NYC ones"
